What we use

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. That is the only tracking on this site. There is no advertising pixel, no tag manager, no session recording, and no third-party embed watching you read.

We use it to answer dull but useful questions: whether anyone is finding us, which pages are worth keeping, and whether the site is doing its job. It is not used for advertising and we do not sell or share the data.

Nothing runs until you agree

When you first arrive, the analytics is switched off. A banner asks whether you are happy with it, and until you choose, no Google script is loaded at all. That is worth being precise about: declining does not mean a tracker loads and then behaves itself, it means the script is never fetched in the first place.

If you accept, your choice is remembered on your own device so you are not asked on every visit. Nothing about that choice is sent to us.

Changing your mind

You can change your answer whenever you like: reopen the cookie banner. That brings the banner back so you can pick either way. You can also clear cookies and site data for this site in your browser settings, which removes the stored choice and anything Google Analytics set.

What actually gets stored

If you decline, one small note of that decision, on your device, so we do not badger you on every page. Nothing else.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell one visit from another. Your IP address is anonymised. Your browser also handles ordinary things like caching images so pages load faster, which happens on your device without sending anything back to us.

If you fill in our contact form, what you type is sent to us as an email. That is covered in our privacy policy, not here, because it is information you chose to give us rather than something collected quietly in the background.

Websites we build for venues

This policy covers this website only. A website we build for a venue may well use cookies, for example if it embeds their booking system or they ask us to add analytics. In that case the venue's own cookie policy applies, and we set up consent properly as part of the build.
